It's Singer Instruments' 75 Birthday this year!! My grandfather sold our first ever piece of lab gear in 1948. And it was purely mechanical! We're now a rapidly growing biotech company, supplying mechatronic workstations and awesome robotics to over 600 labs across 50 countries! Read more...

We've been in it for 75 years! We have a scientific background. And we know what lab life is like. We know that you demand smart, cool stuff that makes your work easier. We know that you want the best experimental results, without any hassle. We know it's got to be small, accurate, ultra-fast, easy to learn and with responsive back-up services to boot. So that's what we do. Simple!

Our latest product is the RoToR HDA. This is a compact, benchtop robot for easy ultra-fast generation, replication and mating of high-density yeast and bacteria arrays. It allows reagent sets such as deletion mutant collections and the complete set of cloned yeast genes to be utilised for large-scale two hybrid, synthetic genetic array (SGA), phenotypic and chemical-genetic analysis. It's also fantastic for drug-screening. The RoToR uses patented, plastic replica plating pads and supports liquid pinning to and from 96 and 384-well microtitre plates and agar pinning at densities of 96, 384, 768 and 1536, 3072 and 6144.

Our core products are  Micromanipulators and Microscopes. The Singer MSM models are a range of integrated dissecting scopes and micromanipulators specially designed for yeast. The Singer MSM System series 300 and the Singer MSM Manual are state-of-the-art, microprocessor-controlled  workstations for ascus dissection in tetrad analysis, pedigree analysis, cell progression, mutant and ageing studies, zygote isolation and other micromanipulation procedures in yeast genetics. Our workstations make dissecting very easy for everybody! We pioneered and make disposable glass dissecting needles and holders for our and others' micromanipulators.

Singer Instruments also make Micromanipulators for Xenopus oocyte and embryo injection, Micromanipulators for technical applications including electronic testing, fine soldering, diode whiskering and for use in art conservation.

We are well known worldwide among universities, hospitals, major research institutions, as well as biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies for our commitment to quality and customer service!
